In this course we teach you how to create admin reports with React using a query builder. Admin reporting is a broad topic, and getting started can be overwhelming.

In five modules, we cover configuration of the query builder, setting up a server, displaying data in a grid, chart, and map, as well as some more advanced uses of the query builder. It's about three hours long and comes with code samples.

The course is taught by Jake Boone, who uses React Query Builder in real, mission-critical applications for a large engineering and construction firm.

In this course, we'll be using React Query Builder to create admin reports with complex filtering, bulk editing, data grids, charts, and maps.

For this lesson, we'll return to the server code to create a new API. We'll also add some geographic data to the database.

# Adding a new API endpoint

For this lesson, we'll return to the server code to create a new API. We'll also add some geographic data to the database.

## Adding geographic data to the database

Add data from the [UN/LOCODE dataset](https://github.com/datasets/un-locode) to your PostgreSQL databases (the local database _and_ the remote Heroku database) using the provided [`unlocode.sql`](http://localhost:3001/assets/protected/courses/building-advanced-admin-reporting-in-react/module_04/lesson_04.01/protected/src/unlocode.sql) file. UN/LOCODE is a great collection of the latitude and longitude points of almost all terminals in the world, including airports, seaports, rail terminals, and many others.

As with the sales data, you can use the [command line](https://www.postgresql.org/docs/13/app-psql.html) to add it, or a client like [pgAdmin](https://www.pgadmin.org/).

## Adding an API endpoint for geographic data

Add a separate API endpoint to `index.js` to retrieve the new data.
